Groeikaart
Groeikaart is a project for the Amsterdam Historical Museum. The animation shows the development of Amsterdam during the centuries, following several city icons.
On a highly detailed level the viewer can watch Amsterdam grow street by street, which gives the feeling of watching a flower opening up at sunrise. Seasons change, houses get torn down, building arise and canals come into existence. The camera never zooms in, but remains at a bird's eye view.
